Overview
John Gugliotta is Of Counsel to the Firm in our Litigation Department. He is located in our New York and Newport Beach Offices.
John is a civil and criminal litigator and trial lawyer, handling Civil matters in the state and Federal Courts in California and New York. John litigates commercial and contractual disputes, insurance defense, insurance coverage disputes, writs and appeals. He has successfully handled numerous jury trials, non-jury trials, arbitrations and administrative hearings. His criminal practice includes white collar matters as well as state court misdemeanors and felonies.
A major part of John’s practice involves advising and representing certified recycling centers throughout the entire state of California. This representation includes administrative hearings, Civil Writs of Mandamus, criminal matters and regulatory interpretation.
John began his legal career in 1995 working for a well-known criminal and civil rights attorney in Beverly Hills, California. In 1997, he joined Richard G. Gugliotta to form Gugliotta and Associates with offices in both New York and California. Subsequently he later formed Gugliotta & Ponzini, P.C. which continues to operate in New York and California. Mr. Gugliotta is Of Counsel to CMX and handles various litigation matters for the firm.
John is admitted to practice law in New York and California. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for both the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and the Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts of California, as well as being admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second and Ninth Circuits.
